Yes! We have returned! Who is we? I guess I mean me. I missed last week and I’m MAD at myself. To be honest with ya, I’ve been going through a lot and past couple weeks has been pretty TOUGH, so I really wasn’t really listening to too much music. I tried to CRAM one in at the end of the week, but just couldn’t pull it together. But I THINK I got my groove back (for now) so let’s just get right into it.
Efficient Space reissued one of my FAVORITE songs of all time, Dennis Harte’s “Summer’s Over.” I have been OBSESSED with this song for over a decade, and play it on my show every year the day after Labor Day (which I have always considered to be the end of summer). This song sounds like how it FELT to have the summer ending in when I was in High School. I’m not even sure if that makes sense. I don’t care. This song is MAGICAL.
Really coooooool new single from the Universal Affirmation Ensemble. Not familiar with them, but excited to hear the rest of this album.
THREE Sade covers in ONE SONG! YESSSSSSSS!!! Dawn Richard would apparently always sing Sade over Joseph Shabason’s soundcheck song, “Broken-Hearted Kota”, and so this amazing single was born. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
