New music finds from the last couple weeks

HELLO.

Welcome to my first post on Glazed Over! I’m not really much of writer, so don’t expect to read many interesting takes or reviews here. What you WILL find is lists of all the music (mostly new releases) I’ve been into to lately.

I’ve struggled with deciding on whether or not to actually do this (if you’re reading this, then I did! WEEEEE!!!!). While my day job is working at WFMU and spending hours and hours and HOURS searching for new music for two different radio shows, I don’t really feel a part of any particular music scene. But after talking to some friends, they made me feel like people might be interested in seeing the lists I make for myself. So why the fuck not, right??

That’s enough blabbin’ about me and my insecurities! This week’s list is stuff from the last couple weeks of searchin’. When I say NEW ALBUMS/SINGLES, I mean within the last couple months, but most of these were released in July.

Before we get to the listin’, I want to point out the Sam Wilkes, Craig Weinrib, and Dylan Day self-titled album off Leaving Records and how WONDERFUL it is. I have been listening to their version of “Standing In The Doorway” (a Bob Dylan song I've never listened to) on repeat for DAYS. I’m literally listening to it as I write this and I’m tearing up. 🥹
